The KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) Nomusa Dube-Ncube will tomorrow, 30 April 2014, unveil four separate service delivery projects sponsored by her department in the Ingwe Local Municipality. The projects include Bulwer Dam Weir, Nomandlovu Water Scheme, Sokhela Electrification Scheme and Sokhela Community Hall.
The programme will include house visits of various beneficiaries of the Sokhela Electrification Scheme where the MEC will preside over a symbolic switch-on. The unveiling ceremonies will be followed by a public meeting at the Donnybrook Primary School Sportsfield where the MEC, flanked by the Mayor of Harry Gwala District Municipality and the Chairperson of the KZN House of Traditional Leaders, will deliver a keynote address to the community.
“It is by no coincidence that we unveil four very different projects in this municipality at the same time. These projects have been designed to complement each other and handing them over to the local community simultaneously demonstrates our integrated approach to service delivery in KwaZulu-Natal,” said MEC Dube-Ncube in advance of the unveiling ceremonies.
The details of the programme in the Ingwe Municipality are as follows:
Date: 30 April 2014
Time: 9h15 – 9h50 – handing over of the projects
9h50 – 10h25 – household visits
10h25 – community meeting
