Provincial Treasury men to lead a march against the abuse of women and children

Provincial Treasury men join millions of other South Africans and say enough is enough with the abuse of women and children in our society.

This women’s month and also taking into cognisance the month of July which was Men’s Month, KZN Treasury management, particularly males, will lead a march to honour men and women who stand against the violation of the rights of women and children.

The march is also aimed at raising awareness about the increasing cases of reported rapes and femicide.

Also at the forefront of the march will be Provincial Treasury men as a symbolic gesture to show that men want to end this scourge of violence.

The march will commence from Treasury House on Chief Albert Luthuli Road to Church Street, Freedom Square taxi rank, Checkers taxi rank Selgro Centre, Imbali taxi rank, Northdale taxi rank then up Church Street and ends with speeches and activities at Carbineers Park outside City Hall.

Activities will include lighting of a candle in memory of the victims of violence and self-defence demonstration offered by Serfontein Correctional Services.
