Manxili community set to reap rewards on health care services as Government opens brand-new Manxili Clinic
The rural community of Manxili at Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal, is set to benefit tremendously on health care services when Government opens and hands over the world-class Manxili Clinic to it on Saturday, 5 September 2015.
Previously, members of the community in need of health care had to wait for a mobile clinic to visit the area only once a month. That mobile clinic would be coming from the mother hospital, Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital, which is situated 62km away. The only other option for the local residents was to travel nearly 10km to Mangeni Clinic, mostly on foot, to access health care services.
But, with the opening of Manxili Clinic, life will never be the same as health care services have now been brought to their own doorstep.
The brand new facility also has staff accommodation, which makes it convenient for qualifying health care professionals to reside closer to work.
Members of the media are invited to attend and report on this fine example of Government service delivery in action.
