KwaZulu-Natal Education MEC's school opening functionality monitoring ringing the bell at Grantam Park School in Richards Bay

The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr Senzo Mchunu, is going to ring the bell at Grantam Park Primary School in Richards Bay, signalling opening of all schools in the province of KwaZulu-Natal for 2013.

The MEC has decided to visit 30 schools in three days from the 16^th until the 18^th of January 2013. “The bell is going to ring at 7h00 in the morning as a gesture that says from the first second, first minute and first hour of the 16^th of January, teaching and learning should begin,” said MEC Mchunu.

At Grantam Primary, the MEC is going to interact mainly with Grade 1 learners who will be starting school for the first time.
