The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Neliswa Peggy Nkonyeni, MPL, is going to handover 3 in 1 communication solution to schools under Dumbe Municipality in the Zululand District. This handover, which is done in partnership with the National Ports Authority and Dumbe Municipality, is going to see a total of 53 schools in the Zululand District connected with a telephone, fax as well as photocopy machines.
“This is part of our ongoing programme of ensuring connectivity in our schools. We want to ensure that all our schools in our Province have all the necessary tools to create a conducive environment for quality teaching and learning. We also want to thank National Ports Authority and Dumbe Municipality for their passion for education,” said MEC Nkonyeni. Before the actual handover, there is going to be a Career Expo, where learners are going to be encouraged to take Maritime and Engineering studies.
