The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Arts and Culture will be hosting the International Translation Day at Ndwendwe, north of Durban tomorrow to celebrate the translation and interpreting profession.
The event will also include a Language Career Expo where institutions of higher learning and language practitioners will interact with learners and students to provide them with information relating to careers in translation and interpreting.
One of the core functions of the Department of Arts and Culture is to promote multilingualism through the provision of translation, interpreting and editing services to all governmental departments, municipalities and statutory bodies within the Province.
The event will be addressed by the MEC for Arts, Culture, Sport and Recreation and the Pan South African Language Board.
