KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Belinda Scott, tables the KZN Adjustments Estimate Budget at the Legislature in Pietermaritzburg tomorrow, Wednesday, 21 November 2018.
MEC Scott will walk the tight rope, balancing the need to render service delivery and continue to manage budget spending of the province. This comes when government is on fiscal consolidation mode - emphasising the need to abide by the cost-containment measures and principles of good governance.
You are invited to be part of this important legislative programme that will shed light on the fiscal position of the province. MEC Scott will, amongst other things, talk to budget cuts and additions while addressing the need to protect service delivery. Spending pressures that government is facing during the prevailing economic climate will be another important feature in her speech at the Legislature.
The budget adjustments speech is expected to talk to government’s intent to bolster infrastructure development initiatives and the improvement of the lives of the people in KwaZulu-Natal.
