The MEC for Health in KwaZulu-Natal Dr Sibongiseni Dhlomo invites the media as he will be in Amajuba, Newcastle. The MEC will be in the area to speak to Emergency Medical Personnel and urge them to improve the service they provide to communities.
The MEC also invites journalists and the media in the area to spend time with him as he would be sharing details of the rationalisation of services involving Newcastle Provincial and Madadeni Hospitals.
The rationalisation of services was announced by the MEC for Health, Dr SM Dhlomo, to the community earlier in the year. The rationalisation process would seek to put an end to the duplication of services between the Madadeni and Newcastle Hospitals thus overstretching the very limited human and financial resources available. The MEC will brief the media on progress and the implication so that they could report to the public.
