The National Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will launch three major projects in the Northern Cape tomorrow under the theme, 'Together, We can do more through Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries'.
Minister Joemat-Pettersson, who will deliver the keynote address, will be joined by MEC Norman Shushu, organised agriculture and other stakeholders.
Some of the projects include:
1. A flood relief scheme aimed at reconstructing flood damaged agricultural infrastructure in the province.
2. A fire relief scheme which is aimed at providing relief and comprehensive assistance to the agricultural community as a result of the recent veld fires that have ravaged the province.
3. An agricultural mechanisation project which is aimed at providing agricultural implements and equipment to provincial beneficiaries.
