The Pension Laws Amendment Act 84 of 1964 intends:

  • to amend
    • the War Pensions Act, 1942 [repealed in 1979],
    • the Parliamentary Service and Administrators' Pensions Act, 1951 [repealed in 1965],
    • the Government Service Pensions Act, 1955 [repealed in 1966],
    • the Pension Laws Amendment Act, 1956,
    • the War Special Pensions Act, 1962 [repealed in 1975],
    • the Old Age Pensions Act, 1962 [repealed in 1968],
    • the Blind Persons Act, 1962,
    • the War Veterans' Pensions Act, 1962 [repealed in 1968],
    • the Disability Grants Act, 1962 [repealed in 1968],
    • the Associated Institutions Pension Fund Act, 1963, and
    • the Parliamentary Service Pensions Amendment Act, 1963 [repealed in 1965];
  • to prescribe the date on which any person shall be deemed to attain the prescribed age for retirement in certain circumstances; and
  • to provide for other incidental matters.

  • 7 July 1964, unless otherwise indicated
