National Water Act 36 of 1998

The National Water Act 36 of 1998 intends:

• to provide for fundamental reform of the law relating to water resources;
• to repeal certain laws; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.

• 1 October 1999 , Sections 33(4), 37, 38, 40 to 42, 56 to 60 and 163(1) (Gazette 20513 of 1 October 1999)
• 1  January 1999, Sections 33(1), 33(2) and 33(3) (Gazette 19618 of 24 December 1998)
