The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa Act 13 of 2000 intends:
- to provide for the establishment of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa;
- to provide for the dissolution of the Independent Broadcasting Authority and the South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority;
- to transfer the functions of the latter authorities to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa;
- to amend
- the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act, 1993 [repealed in July 2006],
- the Telecommunications Act, 1996, and
- the Broadcasting Act, 1999;
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
Commencement
30 March 2000 except Section 18(2) on 11 May 2000 (Gazette 21185 of 11 May 2000)
