Further Education and Training Colleges Amendment Act 1 of 2013

The Further Education and Training Colleges Amendment Act 1 of 2013 intends:

• to amend the Further Education and Training Colleges Act, 2006, so as:
  • to amend certain definitions; to amend the provisions relating to the establishment of a public college;
  • to establish the South African Institute for Vocational and Continuing Education and Training;
  • to provide for the composition, functions and functioning of the Institute; 
  • to provide for transitional arrangements, the repeal of the Adult Education and Training Act, 2000, and the amendment of certain other laws; and
• to provide for matters connected therewith.

Commencement
