The Intelligence Services Oversight Act 40 of 1994 intends:
- to provide for the establishment of a Committee of Members of Parliament on Intelligence and to define its functions; and
- for the appointment of Inspectors-General or Intelligence and to define their functions; and
- to provide for matters connected therewith.
