BE IT ENACTED by the State President and the House of Representatives of the Republic of South Africa, as follows:- .

Amendment of section 12 of Act 47 of 1963

1. Section 12 of the Coloured Persons Education Act, 1963, 1s hereby amended by the addition of the following proviso:

": Provided that such erson who-

(i) is a member of the Government Service Pension Fund established by section 3 of the Government Service Pension Act, 1973 ( Act No. 57 of 1973); and

(ii) has completed at least 10 years' continuous pensionable service, may retire on pension at any time after he reaches the age of 50 years, if he gives the Director-General at least three calendar months' written notice of his intention to retire on pension.".

Short title and commencement

2. This Act shall be called the Coloured Persons Education Second Amendment Act (House of Representatives), 1992, and shall come into operation on a date fixed by the State President by proclamation in the Gazette.
