Women in agriculture to be celebrated this week
In line with Women’s Month, achievements of women in the Western Cape’s agriculture sector will be celebrated next week.
On Thursday, 10 August, the provincial winners of the Female Entrepreneur Awards will be announced. They will be entered into the national competition, which takes place in Mpumalanga on 24 August 2017.
An initiative of the National Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Awards are hosted in partnership with provincial departments of agriculture.
Winners will be announced in the following categories:
- Best Female Worker in the Sector
- Best Subsistence Producer in the Sector
- Top Entrepreneur in the Sector: Processing
- Top Entrepreneur in the Sector: Export Markets
