The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) wishes to announce the resignations of Ms. Matlakala Motloung, Deputy Director-General responsible for Communications and Mr. Colin Pitso, Chief of Staff in the Minister's Office.
Ms. Motloung has tendered her resignation to the Director-General of the department citing ill-health as her reason for requesting to be released from active service.
In his resignation, Mr. Pitso cited family commitments that unfortunately cannot be met by the demanding schedule of the Ministry and the department.
The Director-General, Mr. Dan Mashitisho, expressed his appreciation for the services these two senior officials have rendered to the department and South Africa.
"As a department we wish Ms. Motloung well and good health and equally, wish Mr. Pitso well in his future endeavors."
The department will take the necessary steps to ensure the positions that are to be left vacant by these departures are filled swiftly to ensure continued and seamless delivery of DWS mandates.
