The Minister of Transport Ms. Dipuo Peters will on Friday, 26 February 2016, officially launch a Solar Power Plant at George Airport in the Western Cape.
A 200 square metre clean energy source has been designed to supply the airport with 750kw of its total electricity needs. The project has been spearheaded by the Agency of the Department of Transport, Airports Company South Africa (ACSA).
During the launch, Minister Peters will be joined by among others, the Mayor of Eden Municipality Mr Lionel Esau and senior executives from ACSA.
