Statistician-General Pali Lehohla releases reports on Water and Sanitation and Gender Patterns in Transport, 23 Nov

The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, will release the Gender Patterns in Transport, 2013 as well as the GHS Series VIII: Water and Sanitation, 2002-2016 reports at a media briefing to be held on Wednesday, 23 November 2016.

The GHS Series VIII: Water and Sanitation, 2002-2016 provides an in-depth analysis of General Household Survey 2002 – 2015 and Community Survey 2016 data. It provides statistics on access to water and sanitation, and the quality of these services. The report also looks at the safety and taste of water consumed by households. Statistics on non-payment of municipal accounts by households will also be presented in the report.

The Gender Patterns in Transport report provides analysis relating to gender and its significant impact on transport and travel patterns in 2013. It lays the foundation for future reports highlighting the significance and impact of gender on transport.
