Statistician-General to release the Financial Census of Municipalities, 2016 results

The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, will release the results of the 2016 Financial Census of Municipalities at a media briefing to be held on Wednesday, 28 June 2017 in Pretoria. This includes, among other things, expenditure on: employee related costs, remuneration of councillors, repairs and maintenance and bulk purchases of water and electricity.

Other municipal financial information such as key ratios, including asset-liability ratios, will also be presented at the media briefing.
