South African Early Childhood Development Awards in Gauteng
The National Development Agency (NDA) in partnership with the Department, of Social Development will on Friday 18th March 2016, host the provincial South African Early Childhood Development Awards in Rosebank, Gauteng. The awards, now in their 12th year, are an annual event that will be hosted for the second time by the NDA. The ceremony in Rosebank is a build up to the national South African ECD Awards which will be held in April 2016 in Gauteng.
The provincial awards seek to recognise excellence, innovation, best practice, dedication and participation in the ECD sector in various provinces throughout South Africa. The following categories will be awarded:
- Best ECD Centre
- Best ECD Practitioner
The NDA as an agency of the Department of Social Development is committed to transforming and empowering the ECD sector. Through the awards, the NDA will assist in making South Africans aware of the importance of ECD in building a successful future for children, thus affirming the ECD programme slogan of ‘an early start for a better future’.
