The Hawks and Khayelitsha TRT members arrested six suspects aged between 22 and 41 for allegedly conspiring to murder a witness.
On Tuesday afternoon members acted swiftly, on intelligence received concerning an alleged plot to eliminate a witness and in on a sting operation the suspects’ vehicle was intercepted along Pama Street in Khayelitsha, the resultant search lead to the seizure of two unlicensed firearms.
They are expected to appear at Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Friday the 5th for conspiracy to commit murder and possession of illegal firearms related charges.
