Department of Science and Technology to host Kingdom of Eswatini delegation to discuss the bioeconomy

The Department of Science and Technology's Africa Bilateral Cooperation unit will be hosting a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini for a Bioeconomy Strategy Workshop from 24 to 25 January 2019.

South Africa and the Kingdom of Eswatini are working towards signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in science, technology and innovation, and are currently collaborating through the Academy of Science of South Africa and the Kingdom of Eswatini Academy of Sciences.

The workshop will bring together over 20 participants for discussion and debate on South Africa's draft Bio-economy Strategy.  The end result is expected to be a revised strategy that is of international standard while being relevant to conditions in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
