Government is saddened by the death of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) legendary sports commentator Cebo Manyaapelo. He passed away at a Mahikeng hospital yesterday afternoon, after spending more than two months in hospital.
Manyaapelo presented a high level of professionalism throughout his tenure at the SABC, and he served the SABC with distinction and commitment.
Minister of Communication Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, sends her deepest condolences to Manyaapelo’s family, friends and colleagues at the SABC. “Manyaapelo will always be remembered as one of the most popular admired radio and television sport broadcasting veteran in the country. His passing leaves a dent in the sports fraternity, media and to sports fanatics. His passion, dedication for sports and legacy will serve as an inspiration to upcoming commentators,” said Kubayi-Ngubane.
