Public Protector, Adv. Madonsela today met with the Vhembe Concerned Pensioner Group to brief them on the process that is underway to ensure implementation of the remedial action contained in the “Equitable Access To Social Security” Report which was released on 08 November 2011.
“We are now closer to the solution than we have been before and the Minister of Finance has indicated that he is willing to implement a workable solution to implement the remedial action”, said Adv. Madonsela.
The Public Protector will meet with the Director-General of Finance next week and all parties are satisfied with the progress made so far.
