The Department of Local Government and Human Settlements in Bokone Bophirima wishes to warn the public, business people and service providers against a recent tender scam wherein people are lured into believing they can buy fake tender documents supposedly issued out by the department.
All tenders are advertised in the media in line with the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA) and the department, like any government institution, cannot deviate from provisions of the PFMA and the Supply Chain Management Policy.
Anyone who is found to be involved in the scam, will be harshly dealt with, through law enforcement agencies.
