Science and Technology hosts public consultation on proposed Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas Regulations, 13 and 20 Oct

The Department of Science and Technology will host public hearings on regulations to protect the Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas in Pretoria on 13 October and in Carnarvon on 20 October 2016.

The regulations aim to protectthe declared Karoo Central Astronomy Advantage Areas in the Northern Cape.

The Minister of Science and Technology published a notice of public hearings in terms of the Astronomy Geographic Advantage Act in Government Gazette No. 40215, Notice No. 920, on 18 August 2016.

Public hearings will be held to allow interested or affected parties to present oral presentations or objections to the Minister.
