MEC Mathabo Leeto briefs media on Prince Kaybee’s success, 18 Aug

Prince Kaybee’s album goes gold

The Free State MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Mrs. N.S. Leeto would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kabelo Motsamai (Prince Kaybee) for the achievement of his debut album Better Days which has officially reached a gold selling status in South Africa.

MEC Leeto would also like to convey her gratitude to the people of the Free State province in particular for their continued support to local artists such as Prince Kaybee who hail from the Free State. The patriotism of the Free State people has been felt through sales of Prince Kaybee’s album and this gold selling album has raised the bar for other local artists.

To celebrate this remarkable achievement, a media briefing will be held as follows:

Date: Thursday, 18 August 2016
Time: 09h00
Venue: Free State Sport Science Institute (Golf Course Restaurant).

As a Free State-born house DJ and producer, Prince Kaybee continues to receive support from the department as is the case with all other Free State artists. This support comes in the form of providing performance opportunities for local artists through platforms such as the annual Mangaung Cultural Festival and many other events organized in the province such the recent South African Sport Awards.

The department is immensely proud of Prince Kaybee who is part of the large pool of talented artists found in the Free State. I therefore wish to thank thousands of people who continue to purchase his music.
