President Jacob Zuma will on Thursday, 23 June 2016, visit Vulindlela Rural Enhanced People’s Housing Process (EPHP) in Umsunduzi Local Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal to celebrate the delivery of more than 4 million government houses and subsidies since the dawn of democracy in 1994.
The Department of Human Settlements recently launched the national campaign to celebrate the 4, 3 million houses and subsidies delivered since 1994. The campaign to celebrate this great milestone is being rolled out in all nine Provinces.
President Zuma will celebrate this remarkable achievement in KwaZulu-Natal where government has delivered over 700 000 houses and subsidies including 12 000 units in Vulindlela Rural Housing Project which were built through EPHP. The EPHP is a process where beneficiaries are actively involved in the decision making over the housing process, product and play a key role in the building of their houses.
