President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 21 May 2016, officiate at the official handover ceremony of the Kruger National Park Land Restitution Claim in the Mpumalanga Province.
The financial compensation to communities is in respect of various land claims on the Kruger National Park. The hand over is part of Phase One of the settlement of land claims by communities from Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
The award of financial compensation is in line with the 2008 Cabinet Decision on equitable redress as the approved option for the settlement of the land claim on the Kruger National Park.
