President Jacob Zuma arrives in Uganda for President Yoweri Museveni’s inauguration

President Jacob Zuma has this evening, 11 May 2016, arrived in Kampala, in the Republic of Uganda to attend the inauguration of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, which will take place tomorrow, on 12 May 2016, in Kampala.

South Africa and Uganda enjoy cordial bilateral relations that were cemented during South Africa’s liberation struggle.

The Minister of Environmental affairs, Ms Edna Molewa is the Acting President of the Republic currently as both the President and Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa are out of the country.

The Deputy President is leading the South African delegation to the World Economic Forum Africa in Kigali, Rwanda.
