President Ramaphosa conveys condolences on passing of Kgoshikgolo Thulare III 

President Cyril Ramaphosa has on behalf of Government and the people of South Africa expressed sincere condolences at the passing of His Majesty King Victor Thulare of the BaPedi Kingdom. Kgoshikgolo Thulare passed away on Wednesday, 06 January 2021, at the age of 40.
 
King Thulare is the son of the late King Rhyne Thulare and was officially recognised by President Ramaphosa as King of the BaPedi in 2020. 
 
“We mourn with the BaPedi people, who have lost a leader in the prime of his life and who had great aspirations for the unity and development of his people,” said President Ramaphosa.
 
“We are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Kgoshikgolo Thulare and wish the Thulare Royal Family and the BaPedi people strength during this difficult time of grief.”
