President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of section 5(1) of the Public Service Commission Act, 1997(Act No.46 0f 1997), designated Advocate Richard Khaliphile Sizani as the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission (PSC) with immediate effect.
Advocate Sizani, who was until this designation the Deputy Chairperson of the PSC, joined the PSC in 2011. He has participated in key transformation and democratic transition processes such as the CODESA constitutional negotiations and the drafting of the Constitution of the Republic. He is also a former member of parliament and has served in government in various levels from Chief Director to Director-General.
