President Jacob Zuma addresses 17th World Federation of Trade Unions Congress, 5 Oct

President Jacob Zuma will on Wednesday, 5 October 2016, address the 17th World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) Congress in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal under “Struggle, Internationalism and Unity for the attainment of the contemporary workers’ needs, against poverty and wars generated by capitalist barbarism.”

The WFTU is an international trade union federation of more than 100 countries with a membership of more than 92 million workers. The WFTU holds a congress every five years and this year’s congress is hosted by South Africa’s trade union federation, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU). The congress will be attended by more than 70 trade unions formations from Latin America, Asia, Africa, U.S. and Europe.
