Kgosi Moiloa’s untimely death saddens Premier Mahumapelo

The Premier of Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo has received with deep shock news on the death of Kgosi Keobusitse Moiloa of Dinokana village near Zeerust.

According to the police, Kgosi Moiloa was killed yesterday, Friday, 1st January 2016, in an apparent hit-and-run accident in Dinokana village. It is reported that Kgosi Moiloa stopped his vehicle on the Dinokana road to warn local children against playing close to the road, and was hit by a passing vehicle while walking back to his car.

It is reported that the driver of that vehicle tried to escape from the scene, but a member of the public managed to record the vehicle number plate, thus enabling the police to track him down.

Extending the Provincial Government’s deepest condolence to the family, relative, friends and colleagues of Kgosi Moiloa, Premier Mahumapelo said Kgosi Moiloa’s death is a great loss not only to the family and Dinokana community which he led, but also to the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders and the people of Bokone Bophirima Province.

“Kgosi Moiloa was a patriotic and responsible citizen who also lived up to the ideals of a selfless traditional leader. We pray for the bereaved family to find peace and comfort during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace,” said Premier Mahumapelo, who also thanked members of the community who helped the police in tracking down the driver of the vehicle.
