NWest to commemorate Mandela Day through RHR
Premier of the North West Province, Supra Mahumapelo, will as part of commemorating the Nelson Mandela International Day, officially launch the Provincial Reconciliation, Healing and Renewal (RHR) Charter. The Mandela day activities which the province will commemorate in partnership with Motsweding FM, will be held at Potchefstroom, NW 405 Local Municipality.
In observing the 67 minutes for Madiba, Premier Mahumapelo will launch 67 RHR Actions and 67 Advanced Entrepreneurship Ideas from young people, and lead the handing over of donations to needy schools.
The Charter launch will be preceded by 67 Minutes activities were Premier Mahumapelo, MECs, Mayors and Traditional Leaders amongst others, will paint, clean, do carpentry and gardening work at the local orphanage, old age home and two clinics respectively.
The day will be concluded by RHR Mandela Candle Light, Prayer and Meditation service in the evening at Ikageng Stadium, which will be attended by 67 people from each village in the province and 67 officials from each provincial department.
