Last phase of Premier’s VTSD outreach programme reaches Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District
The Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality in the North West Province will for the whole of next week, Monday 17 until Friday 21 July, be hosting the Premier’s VTSD Economies and Entrepreneurship Outreach Programme across all its five local municipalities.
The week-long activities which are aligned to the provincial government’s Setsokotsane 10 by 10 Campaigns will be the last, since the introduction of this initiative in April this year.
The provincial government uses these activities to highlight the economic opportunities available for the communities, while at the same time creating platforms for existing emerging business cooperatives to have dialogues on their contribution towards nation building, social cohesion and entrepreneurship development.
Central to Premier’s VTSD Economies and Entrepreneurship Outreach Programme is to establish private investment links for entrepreneurs in the province’s villages, townships and small-dorpies, and to assist local businesses with information on how to access financial assistance, registration of companies, marketing and access to markets among other things.
Financial Institutions, State Owned Entities such as the North West Development Corporation (NWDC), Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), the local Chambers of Commerce and government departments, are some of the targeted stakeholders who will participate in the outreach programme which has already been to Bojanala Platinum, Ngaka Modiri Molema and Dr Kenneth Kaunda Districts.
