North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo has expressed sadness over the reported murder of media personality Hope Zinde and urged police to act speedily in bringing the culprit to book.

Police say Zinde's body was found in the boot of her SUV at her Pecanwood home at Hartbeespoort in the North West yesterday.

“We are really saddened by Zinde’s death and on behalf of the people of Bokone Bophirima Province I would like to urge the police to do whatever they can to bring the culprit to book.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to the family and want them to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time,” said Mahumapelo.

Police spokesperson Colonel Sabata Mokwabone has confirmed that Zinde’s son is currently in police custody and that he will appear in the Brits magistrate court tomorrow in connection with the murder.

Colonel Mokgwabone says they are still awaiting a postmortem report
