The Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa, Fikile Mbalula will on Friday launch South Africa's newly established Premier Hockey League.
This new league forms part of the department's strategy to professionalise, develop and transform sport benefiting previously disadvantaged codes. The league is additional to the progress made in Basketball, Netball and Boxing amongst other federations that have benefited from the strategy.
