Premier Chupu Mathabatha extends condolences on passing of former COSAS leader

Condolences to late former President of COSAS

The Limpopo Provincial Government led by Premier Chupu Mathabatha would like to convey message of condolence to the bereaved family of Sandra Baloyi. It is with an immense sadness that the Provincial Government sends out condolences to the family and friends of the young fearless leader, Sandra Baloyi.

She was the first young woman to be elected as the President of the Congress of South African Students (COSAS) which operates in schools across the country. She was president of COSAS from 2014 until August 2015.

Sandra hails from Moleketla village, outside Tzaneen in this province. Her untimely death has come as a shock to the people of Limpopo. She has touched many people’s lives through her humanity. Sandra was a true ambassador of change who held matters of education close to her heart.

She was a true revolutionary who indeed believed in the importance of education. Her poor background could not limit her to continue for a better future, not only to herself but to all and sundry.

Sandra appreciated that humility and humanity makes a person a human being. A woman of great substance, revolutionary morality and permanent class she was.
May her soul rest in peace.
