Premier Ace Mgashule launches Operation Hlasela Centre in Tswelopele Municipality, 14 Feb

Shortly after the Premier Ace Mgashule took office in 2009, Operation Hlasela was adopted and launched by the Free State Executive Council as an integrated Government Programme aimed at fast tracking service delivery; fight poverty and creating sustainable livelihoods within the Free State communities. It has brought about multiple changes in the provision of government services since its launch.

The Operation Hlasela implementation model has now been revised to make poor communities the centre of development through the Operation Hlasela Centres. The Operation Hlasela Centres will be opened in small under serviced towns, townships and rural areas throughout the Province; closer to where they live.

This revised implementation model will ensure that poor communities have the opportunity through Operation Hlasela Centres to access government services closer to where they live, make their voices heard; and together with government departments and municipalities, plan for integrated service delivery.

The Operation Hlasela Centres will be generally situated in community halls, churches, government service outlets and other community-based structures such as schools, the Ward/PR Councillors offices and clinics.

The launch will take place as follows:
Date: 14 February 2017
Venue: Ward 7, Hoopstad, Tswelopele Municipality
Time: 9h00
