Drug dealer stopped in his tracks in Kraaifontein for dealing in drugs valued at R1.4 million
Police attached to the Khayelitsha Tactical Response Team (TRT) stopped a drug dealer in his tracks in the Kraaifontein area last night at 19:30.
Members of the team were following up on information they received when they spotted a grey BMW in Kromboom street, Scotsville. When the driver saw the police vehicle he sped off. A high speed chase ensued and police managed to stop the vehicle.
After searching the vehicle, members have seized 31 000 mandrax tablets worth an estimated street value of R1.4 million. A 26 year old suspect was arrested and will appear in the Kuils River Magistrates’ court tomorrow, facing charges related to dealing in drugs.
