Arts & Culture Minister, Mr Nathi Mthethwa will on Thursday, 28 July 2016 launch the Performing Arts Database Booklet as part of Ministerial Imbizo at Seshego Sports Grounds, in Polokwane. The booklet intends to enhance the economic development and improve contact among the artists.
The launch of the Performing Arts Database Booklet forms part of the Ministerial Imbizo that seeks to harness ideas from the public and local artist in Seshego. Minister Mthethwa will use the Imbizo to engage various artists within the Arts, Culture and Heritage sector to promote the work of the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC).
The Minister has convened this special Imbizo to engage and expose young aspiring artists to both local and international market while at the same time create an enabling environment for skills transfer and collaborations.
The Imbizo is also aimed at strengthening government’s efforts in the implementation of the government programme of action as well as government’s monitoring and evaluation system.
