Parliament on Public Protector interviews

Public Protector interviews get underway this Thursday

Interviews for the 14 shortlisted candidates vying for the Public Protector position will be held this Thursday, 11 August 2016, in Parliament’s Committee Room V475, on the Fourth Floor of the Old Assembly Building.

The Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee established to nominate a person for the appointment of Public Protector, Dr Makhosi Khoza, said the Committee intends interviewing all candidates in one day. “The rationale behind this is to ensure that candidates do not have unfair advantage over others, as these interviews will be broadcast live,” said Dr Khoza.

All candidates are scheduled to arrive at 7h00 for registration and related processes. The first interview is planned for 7h45, with the last one arranged for 23h00.
