On Wednesday, 23 March 2016, Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Sussana Dantjie, will be hosting “Basadi Re Aga Setshaba” outreach programme at Delareyville Municipal Hall at Tswaing Local Municipality at 17h00.
The outreach programme under the theme “The role of women in moving society forward,” is aimed to empower, educate and emancipate young women in politics who aspire to be seasoned politicians and provide a platform for them to share experiences and expertise with high profile leaders in politics.
Two (2) motivational speakers, Ms. Tshepangone Monchonyane and Dr. Flora Makama will present on the following thematic areas: Women in politics; Economic empowerment for women; Media and politics and Morale issues.
It also aims to profile their businesses and political careers; achieve public participation in government structures; educate women of Bokone Bophirima on the role and responsibility of the Legislature as mandated by the Constitution, Act 108 of 1996 and aims to enhance oversight function of the Legislature and profile its activities.
Women from all sectors and different political parties have been invited.
