On Friday, 5 February 2016, the North West Provincial Legislature will hold a Traditional Leaders Sectorial Parliament under the theme “The Role of Traditional Leaders in Moving South Africa Forward” in the Legislature Chamber at 10h00.
The objective of the event is to allow traditional leaders a platform to discuss matters affecting local communities; to strengthen relations between the Legislature and traditional leaders; to encourage the participation of Traditional Leaders in the Legislative process; and to raise awareness about challenges facing the Traditional Leaders in the North West Province.
Different stakeholders including the Council of Traditional Leaders; Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs and Department of Land Reform will attend the event.
