On Tuesday, 8 December 2015, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Public Works, Roads and Transport and Community Safety will conduct a follow-up oversight visit to inspect on whether the contractor has returned to site for construction of Ganyesa to Vragas road in Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipality at 07h00. The meeting will start with a pre-oversight briefing at Kagisano-Molopo Local Municipal Chamber and proceed to the construction site.
This follows a meeting that the Chairperson of the Committee, Hon Jeannette Dibetso-Nyathi had with the contractor Murray and Roberts the MEC for Public Works and Roads MEC Madoda Sambatha, Kagisano-Molopo Local municipality and community leaders, where the contractor agreed to return back to the road after non-completion of the road due to lack of funding.
The Department of Public Works and Roads and municipality will form part of the meeting.
