North West Legislature Cooperative Governance Committee to Hold Public Hearings on Traditional Courts Bill 2017
On Friday, 08 November 2019, the North West Provincial Legislature's Portfolio Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs will conduct public hearings on Traditional Courts Bill 2017 in Gopane Community Hall; Matlwang Community Hall near Potchefstroom; Tlou le Tau Community Hall in Ganyesa and Mogwase Hall at 10h00.
The Traditional Courts Bill 2017 seeks to provide a uniform legislative framework for the structure and functioning of traditional courts, in line with constitutional imperatives and values; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
All relevant Stakeholders and Traditional Leadership are invited to attend the public hearings.
