On Thursday, 18 February 2016, the Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Hon. Sussana Dantjie will continue to educate and advise on the primary functions and role of the North West Legislature at the Legislature Building, Mahikeng at 10h00.
The event tailored under the theme: “Know your Legislature – Itse Kokoano Peo Molao ya gago” will focus on the various thematic areas such as:
The role of the legislature; the role of the members of the public and civil societies in the Legislature; and Enhanced public participation.
The purpose of the event is to encourage a spirit of ensuring broader understanding and educating our people of Bokone-Bophirima on the role and responsibilities of the Legislature, with the aim of profiling the Legislature and enhancing oversight.
This platform seeks to create a continuous awareness and educative institute that will provide the Legislature with an opportunity to assist the community of Bokone – Bophirima in distinguishing the mandate belonging to the business of the Legislative Sector and the Executive.
