North West Human Settlements hosts Alternative Building Technology Summit, 26 to 28 May

The North West Department of Human Settlements will host an Alternative Building Technology Summit from the 26th to 28th May 2023 in Bojanala District at Sun City Resort in Moses Kotane Local Municipality.

The Investment and Alternative Building Technology summit seeks to address among others, general human settlements challenges such as to unblock blocked projects as well as addressing housing backlog in the North West province.

The purpose of the summit is also to bring together human settlements professionals, technology enthusiasts and investors to explore and bring new innovations which seeks to unravel challenges within the human settlements industry across all spheres. The summit will also boost an opportunity to capacitate contractors in the province.

The gesture will fulfil the mandate of the department which is to provide the people with of the North West with houses as it is stipulated in the constitution of the country, as well as to create a sustainable human settlements for all legible citizens of this country. The summit is expected to attract potential investors, experts in alternative building technology, as well as local and international companies specialising in different building technology.

“We do this to ensure that we work together with private sector and expects in the industry to assist in speeding up service delivery to the people of the North West. Thus far we have received and overwhelming response and we are pleased and hopeful that the summit will yield positive results”, said MEC Maloyi.

The summit which will run for two days will also attract high profile government delegates, and potential investors from other countries.
